Maverick Provides Corporate Update: James Bay & Rainbow Canyon Advance Strategic Holdings in Noram, Kingman & NOA

Historical sulphides, untested conductors and drill permits position James Bay as CDN Maverick’s near-term exploration catalyst.

CDN Maverick Capital Corp. (CSE: CDN | OTCQB: AXVEF | FRA: 338B) has provided a corporate update highlighting a drill-ready opportunity in James Bay, renewed advancement of the Rainbow Canyon Gold Project in Nevada, and the Company’s broader project-generator approach.

James Bay: Historical Sulphides + Untested Conductors + Drill Ready

Maverick’s James Bay portfolio consists of 1,046 active claims covering approximately 56,947.85 hectares across the Nottaway, Chabinoche and Poncheville claim groups.

Within that broader land position, the Company’s current technical focus is a 100%-owned, drill-permitted polymetallic target supported by historical drilling, recovered drill core, geophysical reinterpretation and an independent NI 43-101 technical report.

Historical SOQUEM drilling consisted of five holes totalling approximately 875 metres and intersected sulphide-bearing horizons, including a reported 2.85-metre interval of massive sulphides.

The question now is what the historical drilling may have missed.

Subsequent geophysical interpretation concluded that several principal conductive bodies were either missed or inadequately tested, including a priority modelled conductor with reported conductivity of approximately 500 S/m.

Maverick received drill permits in February 2026, and the NI 43-101 technical report recommends a staged exploration program incorporating electromagnetic and gravity surveys, hydrogeochemical work and approximately 2,700 metres of diamond drilling.

Rainbow Canyon: Advancing a Nevada Gold Project

Maverick is also advancing its Rainbow Canyon Gold Project in Nevada’s Olinghouse Mining District, within the northern Walker Lane structural and metallogenic domain.

Rainbow Canyon exhibits geological characteristics consistent with a low-sulfidation epithermal gold system, a style of mineralization found elsewhere in western Nevada, including at the historic Comstock Lode, which produced approximately 8.4 million ounces of gold.

The property has demonstrated high-grade mineralization, including a historical drill intercept of approximately 19.65 g/t gold over 1.52 metres, along with a substantial alteration footprint and considerable historical exploration.

Recent geophysics identified multiple prospective targets and indicated that previous drilling may not have penetrated some of the most prospective areas of the property.

The new data is helping Maverick determine where the next work should be focused. The Company is planning a near-term program using the geophysical data and geological interpretations to further evaluate and advance those targets.

Project Generator Approach

Maverick is not built around one property, one commodity or one outcome.

The Company looks for opportunities, advances the ones that make sense and keeps the flexibility to explore directly, bring in partners, complete transactions or retain an economic interest where that makes sense.

You can see that in the positions Maverick still holds today.

Maverick currently holds approximately 3.3 million common shares and 1.65 million warrants of Noram Lithium Corp., giving the Company continued exposure to Noram’s Zeus lithium project in Nevada.

The Company also holds 407,500 common shares and approximately 3.296 million warrants of NOA Lithium Brines Inc. Maverick’s interest in NOA came through the sale of its Nevasca Lithium Project in Argentina, allowing the Company to retain exposure to NOA’s broader lithium portfolio.

Maverick also holds approximately 1.215 million common shares and 1.215 million warrants of Kingman Minerals Ltd., giving the Company additional exposure to the historic Rosebud gold-silver project in Arizona.

This is the practical side of the project-generator approach: Maverick can advance projects directly, transact them when it makes sense and still retain exposure to future value.

As Executive Chairman Sandy MacDougall said in the corporate update:

“James Bay is our clearest near-term catalyst; the Project boasts historical sulphide intersections, recovered core, defined conductive targets, an independent technical roadmap, and we are drill-ready.”

With James Bay drill-permitted, Rainbow Canyon moving forward and retained investment positions providing exposure to other projects, Maverick has several active pieces moving at the same time.

The near-term focus is James Bay, and the broader portfolio gives investors more than one reason to keep watching the Company.
