The Rainbow Canyon Gold Project is a precious metals exploration prospect located in the Olinghouse Mining District, about 24 miles (40 km) east of Reno in Washoe County, Nevada
Gold mineralization has been identified at numerous locations throughout the property, primarily in the form of quartz veins up to 20cm wide which assay in grab sample from 0 to 79 g/t (ppm) gold (Figure 2). The veins occur in wide (up to 30m) zones of strong argillic alteration over a NE strike distance of more than one kilometer. Most of the veins dip steeply to the southeast.
A ground magnetic survey was completed, and the survey showed that magnetic lows coincide with many of the areas of quartz veining and strong alteration.
Maverick completed a six-hole reverse circulation drilling program in April of 2017 with one notable high-grade intercept: hole RCR-03 had five feet (1.5 m) containing 19.6 g/T Au. A 2021 follow-up drill program was terminated without remarkable success.
